Include These Supplements In Your Diet For Healthy Heart

Supplements make it easier to supply the body with necessary nutrients which will build muscle as well as keep the body healthy. They are also available to maintain a healthy heart. As per research, it lowers cholesterol, improves blood pressure and others which increases the risk of developing heart disease.  However, it is not sure whether it prevents heart attacks or even strokes.

Fiber is naturally found in fruits, vegetables, legumes as it cuts down the cholesterol found built up from food. It is recommended to consume at least 25 to 30 grams of fiber rich foods every day. It is always best to get your daily dose of nutrients from food. Supplements are just another alternative. Blond psyllium husk which has lot of fibre lowers bad cholesterol as well raise the good HDL.



Sterols and stanols are found in foods like grains, nuts or even buy them as supplements. They reduce the cholesterol and are found in many other foods like orange juice, yoghurt, some margarines, orange juice, and yogurts. Experts recommend 2 grams a day to help lower LDL cholesterol.



Your body makes naturally this enzyme known as ubiquinone and ubiquinol. These pills are even popular as a treatment for the side effects of cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins. These medicines sometimes lower the amount of COENZYME Q10 which the body makes on its own. Doctors do suggest taking a CoQ10 in order to compensate for the loss, hoping to relieve weakness and muscle pain.



Fish oil consists of omega-3 fatty acids as it can reduce triglyceride levels, which are an unhealthy fat in the blood. It also improves blood pressure. However this should be consumed only on the advice of a doctor. It is best to consume fishes with omega -3 fatty acids. Adults should eat at least 3.5 ounce servings of fish a week.   



Garlic is also known to lower cholesterol as well as the blood pressure. It also slows the accumulation of plaque in the arteries thereby lowering the risk of blood clots.



Drinking green tea reduces triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and elevates HDL levels.



Vitamin D supplement has also been recommended for healthy heart. One can also take 10-15 minutes of unprotected sunlight daily.   



Niacin is known to boost good cholesterol. HDL is a clearing mechanism that helps to get rid of bad cholesterol.  Use it only with a recommendation from the doctor.



Magnesium deficiency has been linked to high blood pressure. Consumption of its supplements has shown a decreased risk of developing heart disease. It also reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes too.
